It is funny HOW NO ONE clicked on these links. It has all the info here, and you can see what the differences are... or people can just keep arguing.
An image like the ones linked are just about the best way to illustrate the difference.
having attempted to read the entire thread, I cannot for the life of me understand what thatisme and flosseR are arguing about!
It is SO SIMPLE. Take lens "X", assuming it functions on both Crop and FF cameras.
Shoot a scene with "X" on a FF camera. If you crop it down to .625 of it's original size from the center, you will have the EXACT same image as the crop sensor camera produces with "X", noise/details/crap like that aside.
There is no argument here.

LoL they made 30billion of cuts. Ten times that wouldn't even be enough to save the US economy from absolute ruin. The Democrats are completely clueless as to the danger america is facing and even the republicans think it can be fixed by 60 billion.
The debt ceiling is the last stand for america's economy. If it is raised the total collapse of the US economy is set in stone and it will only be a matter of time.
btw Thomas Veil, your signature is actually false. It was true for some of the 2000s but even if you took all of the money from all the bankers, wall st

I hope they come up with a CDMA version of the iPhone for Verizon too...
Hopefully it should be out at the MWSF!

What they do in other countries has nothing to do with how they would do it in the USA. Do you seriously think the cable companies would introduce a choice where they stand to lose money? There's no way, unless the FCC forced them, that this would happen.
Also, $1/channel is way too low. Just because you can get 10 channels for $60, doesn't mean each channel would be priced at 60 cents. IIRC, a popular channel like ESPN costs the cable provider $4/subscriber ... and that's with Disney forcing the whole ABC/ESPN/Disney package of channels onto the cable co.
If ALC does happen, I would guess that most people would pay the same or more than they currently do. A small percentage may pay less, but it really depends on what channels they pick (and whether those channels survive).
It's a con when channels that focus on specific programming are forced to close up or offer the same old crap that everyone else does. For instance, a channel like BET may not survive to provide focused programming to the African American community because they would likely lose over half their subscriber base.
This isn't the goal of diverse television programming. Take a look at Obama's position on ALC. This is what I'm referring to.
As for letting the less popular networks whither, I do see this as a con. Networks will need to appeal to a broader audience in order to compete. Get ready for 15 channels showing the same formuliac sitcom. 20 channels of reality TV shows. 10 channels of daytime/social talk shows. 15 channels of sports. And 13 channels of news. No room for channels like History Channel or Discovery Health ... as they'll morph into a TNT or SpikeTV.
So I pay $60 a month and get all of the channels you mentioned above:
SpikeTV - Unsubscribe Please
TNT - Unsubscribe Please
History Channel - Unsubscribe Please
Discovery Health - Unsubscribe Please
BET - Unsubscribe Please
ESPN - Unsubscribe Please
ABC Family - Unsubscribe Please
Disney - Unsubscribe Please
I'll take:
Discovery
TBS
Comedy Central
A&E
CNN
HGTV
I'd gladly pay $5 per channel knowing those channels are supported and any funding is stripped from the others. That'd half my monthly bill, and $5 a channel is more than fair, right?
If the others can't appeal to their subscribers, bye bye crap channels.
But PS - All of the above is utterly irrelevant. These cable channels are ADVERTISEMENT supported, like newspapers, NOT subscription supported.... so they'd fail because they could no longer sell false numbers of "potential viewers" anymore, so they'd fail because they suck, not because they don't make money from subscribers.

Spending $400 on Vista Ultimate Edition makes up the difference. :) Although the operative phrase here is "most current OS running on their box"--the most current Windows is six years old, so if people want to complain that it costs more money to keep up with modern OS updates than it does to have no major OS updates at all for over half a decade, that's not exactly something I consider a negative. I've been using Vista pre-RC1 for a few days and besides some graphics updates it feels just like XP. The gadgets are not quite as nice as os x. Beyond that, Areo is super slow when you have several applications open and to run it you need 1 GB of ram or that's what they recommend. Vista is a resource hog. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice update, but it has a long way to go.

Apple Japan (http://www.apple.com/jp/) appears to have recreated Japanese versions of the Get a Mac ads with Japanese actors. The new ads can be seen at http://www.apple.com/jp/getamac/ads/
The original U.S. versions of the ads can still be found at Apple's Get a Mac site (http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/).
The original ads featured Justin Long as "Mac" and John Hodgman as "PC". Recent reports (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/11/20061109011718.shtml) have claimed that Justin Long will no longer be in future Get a Mac ads.

Randome shots after they have all somehow gotten mixed up, if you want to know what one it belongs to just hover your mouse over the image and find another image with the same name/time.

This is going to be great, absolutely, but forget to pay only a $99 premium for this feature. TVs with Internet access and AirPlay capabilities are going to be overpriced for a couple years. Then the technology will either have failed and retired from TVs or it will be in every or so TV. Now I just wish I could have a cheap audio AirPlay receiver to connect my speakers to ($40 anyone?)

Cut defense, raise taxes on the rich, and close corporate tax loopholes. Deficit solved without cutting any social services. In fact, the little "balance the budget" exercise I posted a few weeks ago proved we could add a surplus while still increasing money for social services, green energy and veterans benefits. All with a progressive tax increase on the top 10%.
As Maddow says, its not about the budget.
I thought you described yourself as an anarchist. What's your definition of an anarchist? Someone who supports a lot of state control?

No issues with mine but the person at the next desk just showed me that all their iCal appointments have been moved up by one hour. I told them it would be alright; they'd finally be on time :D

..if Apple doesn't promise to not kick Target out of the DVD sales business, Target will leave the DVD sales business?
I can hardly imagine the terror that must be echoing through the halls of the Disney headquarters. Don't tell their biggest shareholder - he'll be mightily ticked off.

Deimo,
The link you provide is what I referenced in my post. It's important for people to realize that Net Applications breaks down Apple's operating system into Mac OS (PowerPC) and MacIntel (Intel).
It's clear that PowerPC Mac use has remained fairly unchanged for the past year (slightly down) but Intel based Macs are on the rise. This makes sense considering that Apple no longer sells PowerPC based Macs.
Two things are likely occuring:
